Hector Carcione e Hijo - Artisan Cabinetmaking

About the Company

Four generations of cabinetmakers preserving tradition and artisanal excellence since 1937. We design and restore furniture with unwavering dedication, family pride, and international quality.

About Us

At HÉCTOR CARCIONE e HIJO, we are one of the few remaining traditional cabinetmakers in Buenos Aires, backed by over 89 years of experience and four generations of craftsmanship that began in Italy and continued in Argentina. As a family-run SME, we proudly preserve the European knowledge passed down from great-grandparents to our children, carrying out the entire process of restoration, caning, and handcrafted production of classic and contemporary furniture entirely in our own workshop. By not outsourcing any stage, we guarantee total quality, allowing us to fuse handcrafted work with exclusive, registered designs. We import the finest raw materials to export our artisanal excellence to the world, characterized by the understated elegance that defines us.

In our early days, we specialized in nautical carpentry and all types of interiors for the most luxurious yachts. Over the years, we shifted our focus to embassies and private residences, furnishing some of the most prestigious properties in our country. We handle complete interior design, from wooden doors and windows and wall coverings to curved stair railings and furniture in every style.

More recently, we have dedicated ourselves to the restoration of specific furniture models, original caning, and the creation of highly exclusive pieces that we export to various countries around the world. This comprehensive expertise allows us to execute any type of modern or period design, as well as the restoration of existing pieces.

“To know how to carry out a complete restoration of a piece of furniture, you first need to know how it is designed and made.”

Exclusive Designs

Our original designs are exclusive and registered trademarks.

The quality you see on our website is due to our comprehensive approach to woodworking: from design and template creation to cutting, shaping, carving, sanding, straightening, polishing, caning, and more. This allows us to undertake a variety of modern and traditional projects.

Initial cutting sector

This is the wood cutting area where the handcrafted furniture manufacturing process begins. We have both traditional and state-of-the-art machinery to perform all types of precision work.

Veneered wood sector

Area with a diverse selection of woods in veneer, solid wood, and panels for veneering and furniture construction. These include: Beech, Mahogany, Oak, Rosewood, Ash, Italian Walnut, Canadian Cherry, Bobinga, Viraró, Guatambú, Anegree, African Wenge, Peteribí, Mahogany Pluma, and exotic roots, etc. We have well-seasoned woods, solid woods, and veneers that are no longer available on the market, and we also import them from different parts of the world.

Hardware storeroom sector

Area for various components such as hinges, handles, locks, screws, etc.; everything for assembling and restoring furniture. We perform restorations using original hardware and also source (and import) state-of-the-art hardware from the most recognized brands on the market, such as Hafele and Blum. We install soft-close drawer systems in both modern and antique furniture.

Sector Cabina de Lustre

High-quality finishing area for all types of polishes. Here we apply finishing processes such as imported polyurethanes (matte, semi-matte, crystal gloss), French polish, nitrocellulose, and shellac. We perform color matching on mahogany, walnut, cedar, wenge, etc., as well as airbrushing, gilding, and blending. We hand polish using top-quality 3M compounds.

Termination Sector

We have finishing areas where completed and packaged furniture is stored, awaiting delivery both domestically and internationally. We pack furniture properly to ensure it arrives at its destination in optimal condition.

Pickup and delivery

Although Héctor Carcione e Hijo does not offer pick-up or delivery services, we have facilities equipped to receive shipments from all over the country and abroad. We leave the choice of transport, freight, or express service for moving your furniture entirely up to you.

To ensure organized and safe service, our logistics operate as follows:
